Why can’t things last forever? I only wish I knew what was to come of this friendship We have been through so much together And soon it is all going to end As we begin our journeys We will part ways and lead our own lives Making new friends and leaving old ones behind It may not happen right away But in time we will start to drift I will try my best to make this friendship last But there are no guarantees I think of all the good times And the bad But every good memory is so much more powerful Those are the reasons we are still here together No matter what happens we will forever be friends You don’t have to be by my side for me to know you are here You will always been in my heart
